Scheduler Reports To: Office Manager

SUMMARY: This position is responsible for all aspects of appointment scheduling including but not limited to scheduling appointments, initiating records requests, patient reminders, tracking referrals, triaging calls, obtaining and entering face sheets, work mail returns, and update patient balances on billing alerts.
Position will be located at:499 E. Hampden Ave.Suite #360Englewood, CO 80113

Degree/Certification required: High school diploma or GED required; undergraduate degree in related field is preferred;

Years of experience: Minimum of 1-2 years in healthcare or related field.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned if determined in the best interest of the Practice.

  • Schedule patient appointments and remind patients to bring test results
  • Perform patient call reminders
  • Initiates record requests from PCP/Referring MD for new patients•
  • Track incoming referral sources
  • Review schedule for next day appointment patient balances• Assist with self-pay collections, including establishing payment arrangements and processing credit card payments
  • Answers all incoming calls
  • Transcribe and triage patient calls to Physicians
  • Transcribe and page on-call MD’s as needed• Check voice mail and respond to messages, as needed
  • Sends faxes as needed either manual or through ECW
  • Pull and enter facesheets
  • Work mail returns
  • Other duties as assigned
