EHR Analyst - Blue Sky Neurology

Summary:

Blue Sky Neurology (BSN) is an innovative neurology practice that provides the full spectrum of neurologic services for patients and those involved in their care.  BSN has physicians involved in all phases of neurologic illness: acute neurologic emergencies; neurologic support for hospitalized patients; and outpatient care for those with new or ongoing neurological conditions. BSN was founded in 2005 by established clinicians known throughout Denver and the Colorado region. Since then, the practice has thrived and expanded.

BSN provides acute stroke care; neuro-critical care; neurologic support and outreach throughout Colorado and the surrounding states with telemedicine technology to hospitals and emergency rooms.  There is also active participation in national clinical research studies on the latest neurological treatments.  In order to bridge hospital care to outpatient care, BSN has dedicated outpatient neurologists who all have advanced fellowship training and expertise. BSN has office staff, administration, and management to encompass the full spectrum of patient needs and customer service. We are dedicated to providing excellent and compassionate patient care.

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in healthcare or IT related field
  • EHR analyst experience
  • eClinicalWorks experience preferred

  • Prior training and implementation of PM or EMR software preferred but not required
  • Knowledge of Meaningful Use initiatives
  • Ability to conduct engaging and effective training sessions to a diverse audience at various skill levels

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Run and prepare reports for practice management
  • Assist practice management with Meaningful Use initiatives
  • Schedule online, on-site and follow-up training
  • Develop and prepare workflow suggestions
  • Prepare training schedules as necessary for new staff and providers and train end users (doctors, clinical, and billing staff) on eCW software
  • Provide on-site training and go-live support for providers and their staff
  • Make suggestions, recommendations and provide support
  • Communicate and escalate issues to the eCW as necessary
  • Be involved in deployment of clinical solutions (eCW) throughout the organization
  • Able to manage and participate in multiple site installations at once
  • Work with IT team to ensure equipment, connectivity, file conversions, software and other related services are complete for each installation
  • Be involved in developing new workflows to ensure accurate conversion to an EMR
  • Participate in EMR upgrades, new functionality, and state requirements: documentation, testing, and workflows
  • Works with vendor, support, and end users to triage and troubleshoot EMR issues
