Swedish Medical Center, a Level I Trauma Center, serves as the region’s referral center for neurotrauma. Swedish is a recognized leader in the treatment of stroke and is the Rocky Mountain Region’s First Comprehensive Stroke Center as certified by the Joint Commission. An acute care hospital with 368 licensed beds, Swedish is located in the south metro Denver area in Englewood, CO, where it has been a proud member of the community for more than 100 years.
Swedish offers eight distinct centers of excellence: Cancer Care Center, Emergency Services, The Heart Center, Neurosciences including The Stroke Center, Orthopedic Services, Spine Program, Trauma Center, and Women and Children's Services.
Emergency Department Medical Director
Dylan has been with CarePoint since 2003. His former positions with HealthONE include Associate Medical Director of the Swedish ED, ED Medical Director at Sky Ridge Medical Center, and EMS Medical Director for Swedish and HealthONE EMS. He is board-certified in Emergency Medicine and completed a Chief Residency in Emergency Medicine with Denver Health Medical Center. He currently sits on the Mile High Regional Emergency Medical and Trauma Advisory Council and on the Denver Metropolitan EMS Medical Directors group.
Emergency Department Associate Director
Susan joined CarePoint in 2010, and is currently the Emergency Department Associate Medical Director at Swedish Medical Center. She attended the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA, followed by an Emergency Medicine Residency at Denver Health, where she was Chief Resident. Her clinical interests include: Medical Education, Wilderness Medicine, and improving the quality and access to emergency medical care in underserved populations. In her free time she enjoys running, hiking, reading, and spending time with her family.
